06 nights and 07 days

As you arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport, you are lovingly welcomed by your Ceylon Leisure Plans representative. From the very first moment, this is more than a trip — it is a journey of the spirit.
Travel to Negombo, a charming coastal town with colonial echoes, vibrant markets, and churches whispering centuries of stories. Let the rhythm of this fishing town ease you into the island’s way of life.

Overnight stay in Negombo.

After breakfast, journey north to Anuradhapura, the first capital of ancient Sri Lanka and a deeply sacred city.
Here you’ll walk where kings once walked, and stand beneath the revered Sri Maha Bodhi Tree — grown from the very tree under which the Buddha attained enlightenment. This is not just a visit, but a pilgrimage through time. As the sun sets on stone stupas and lotus ponds, you’ll feel something deeper than history — a quiet peace in your chest.

Overnight stay in Anuradhapura.

Continue to Polonnaruwa, the medieval capital, where art and architecture speak of a time of wisdom and grace.
Explore ancient monasteries, stone-carved Buddhas, and moonstones worn soft by centuries of barefoot prayers. Later, travel to Sigiriya, where the earth rises into a royal rock fortress surrounded by gardens that once echoed with music and fragrance.

Overnight stay in Sigiriya.

At sunrise, climb the majestic Sigiriya Rock Fortress, once a king’s palace in the clouds. The frescoes, ancient graffiti, and water gardens reveal a civilization that lived in harmony with art and nature. On your way to Kandy, stop at Dambulla Cave Temple, where over 150 Buddha statues rest in quiet devotion inside rock-hewn sanctuaries. Arrive in Kandy, the spiritual heart of Sri Lanka, cradled by hills and devotion.

Overnight stay in Kandy.

Visit the revered Temple of the Tooth Relic, where the sacred remains of the Buddha are housed with deep reverence. Witness a pooja ceremony, and feel the air thicken with incense, chant, and prayer.
Later, explore Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, once reserved for royalty, and take a cultural walk through Kandy’s quaint streets, local markets, and arts and crafts centers. End your day with a traditional dance performance, where fire and rhythm tell stories older than words.

Overnight stay in Kandy.

After breakfast, travel through the misty highlands toward Nuwara Eliya, known as “Little England.” The journey is a story in itself — passing tea plantations, waterfalls, and timeless mountain villages. Visit a tea estate and see the gentle process behind Sri Lanka’s most beloved drink. Walk the grounds once walked by colonial planters and Tamil tea pluckers whose legacy still flavors each cup. Spend a quiet evening by Gregory Lake, with the mountains holding you in quiet.

Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.

After breakfast, begin your return journey to Colombo or directly to the Bandaranaike International Airport. As you leave, your heart carries more than souvenirs — it carries stories of ancient wisdom, sacred encounters, gentle people, and places that welcomed you like family.
This is not the end. In Sri Lanka, we never say goodbye — we say: “Ayubowan” – May you be blessed with long life, peace, and return.

Have a safe flight!
